A hospital visit rarely lasts an hour. There is registration, waiting, the consultation itself, prescriptions to fill, and sometimes a scan or test to add on. For an older parent with hearing loss, unsteady balance, or medications running to eight or ten a day, doing all of that alone is not realistic — and for a family whose adult children live abroad or work full days in Kathmandu, going along in person is not always possible either. A medical escort fills that gap: a trained nurse or caregiver from our team travels with your loved one, sits through the consultation, and comes home with a clear written record of what happened.
The escort's work at the hospital is practical. They know the current medication list, so they can answer the doctor's questions accurately. They take notes on advice, dosage changes, and any new prescriptions — not just what the doctor said, but the reasoning where it matters, so family reading the summary later understand the 'why', not only the 'what'. If a test or scan is added on the day, they coordinate it, keep the paperwork organised, and stay with your loved one through the waiting. Medications due during the visit — the noon dose that would otherwise be missed — are given on time.
After the visit, family receive a written summary the same day: what the doctor said, what changed, what to watch for, and the date of the next appointment. Practically: bookings are per visit, half day or full day. Transport can be family's own car, a taxi we arrange, or our own arrangement — whichever is easiest for the day. English is fine for the doctor's summary if the family reading it is more comfortable in English than Nepali; we write it in whichever the family prefers. Give us the appointment date, the hospital name, and the doctor if you know it — a day or two of notice is comfortable, and we can often work with less.

Yes — this is one of the most common ways this service is used. Book by WhatsApp or a call from abroad; we coordinate with your parent directly on the day, and you receive the written summary the same evening.
Are tests, scans, and small procedures included in the escort's work?
If a test or scan is scheduled or added on the day, the escort stays with your loved one through it — the waiting, the paperwork, and getting the report at the end. Small day-procedures (dressing changes, minor interventions) are handled the same way.
Can the written summary be sent in English for diaspora family?
